The Preparation
So today is my sisters' birthday. She is officially an adult aka 20 years old. Yah! Happy Birthday!!Melis!
Any who, So I am done with all the hard application stuff in preparation for my trip and now all i have to do are fun things like learn Spanish, learn how to cook, and pack. My mother had a work friend who is a Spanish teacher and my mum is going to ask if she would be willing to tutor me like twice a week. I have also been practicing with Rosetta Stone. Next up to bat is learning how to cook. I want to know how to cook really good Mexican food so I can cook my house family food sometimes. So far I want to make toad in the holes, really good salsa and guacamole, green chili stew, and home-made tortillas. I pretty sure my grandma can help me with all of these things. Last but not least, I need to pack; I need to figure out what to pack; I need to purchase things to pack; And I need to pack again. But that kind of a fun part, at least I like to think so. Packing is way fun. It gets you pumped.
Well that's all thats going on. I propbably won't post another blog until I am about to leave. Hope everyone is still in their pj's.
Peace & Love,

Accepted!
The afternoon began with a slight ring of freedom at approximately 3:25pm exactly. However, I was forced(although it was enjoyable) into staying a few more minutes in Mrs. Perry's class so I could love on everyone and get loved by everyone. Sometimes this process can be a little overwhelming. Anywho, as I was walking to the Stu for rehearsal, when I received a text message from my father at around 3:45. It said " Please Call Andrea from Andeo at XXX-XXX-XXXX she as some questions;looks good". BTdubs, If you couldn't tell my dad is not the best texter but he's stable. Being in the middle of rehearsal, I decided to call later at home. I went home and called. Andrea asked me a few medical liability questions, which to my surprise weren't too inappropriate. But she also had some great news and to quote her exactly- " you are officially accepted into the program and we will be sending out more materials for you today" ( that's not an exact quote, I lied.) I jumped for joy (literally-in my kitchen.) and now I can't wait. My dad said he's buy my plane ticket sometime tonight or tomorrow. So it's legit and real. I am going to be in Spain for 7 weeks. Siete semanas! Sept semaines! and do not forget- sette settimana! SEEE-VEN WEEE-EEKS! Now back to my life of hell for another 6 days.... Hope everyone is not doing a research paper.
Peace,
Emily Trippin.
P.S. Today the Titanic hit the iceberg and tomorrow, it sinks.

The Application Process
So I received the full application for my ANDEO homestay a few days ago. I have to write a letter to my host family( in Spanish) and 2 essays to be admitted into the program. It's kind of exciting actually. Although it is just more tasks to pile onto my workload but at least it's stuff I actually want to do. So the dates are official (i think). I will leave June 5th and return July 27th. It hasn't really hit me that I am going to be gone for so long. I have no clue what the real life experience is going to be like but all I can do is hope for the best. Hope everyone is imaginative.
Peace,
Emily Kazook
